Job Title:
Sales Engineer

Job Summary:  As a Sales Engineer you will play in integral part in the overall sales process. Primarily responsible for winning the technical sale, you will perform crucial roles in the discovery process and proof of concept phases. You should have exceptional technical knowledge in both voice and data an aptitude for selling and proven track record of successful revenue generation. Travel, teamwork and the ability to meet deadlines are all requisites for the position.
Job Requirements:
» Adding value to the sales process by working with Territory Managers during the sales cycle
» Responsible for gathering financial and technical information to help determine the best solution for the customer and Avotus via the Discovery Process
» Responsible for recommending and providing the most effective proof of concept during the sales process
» Increase sales win potential by winning the technical sale
» Cover for fellow Systems Engineers when they are out of the office
Working Conditions:
» General and / or Home office environment, with requirement for additional hours to meet critical deadlines
» Extensive periods of time spent travelling to clients’ locations
» Position is based in Avotus, NJ office
Job Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, abilities, and attributes)
 
» Proven history of success as a Sales Engineer
» A minimum of 3 years’ Service Experience, preferably in the telecom sector.
 » Solid knowledge of the telecom industry, including Telecom Expense Management solutions.
» At least 3 years experience in developing and maintaining senior level relationships.
» Demonstrable business and entrepreneurial skills.
» Demonstrable negotiating and closing skills.
» Must have excellent communications and presentation skills.
» Ability to translate business needs and ROI to customers.
» Ability and expertise in managing large-scale enterprise sales.

Qualifications:

Job Title:
eP Service Delivery Manager

Job Summary:  This position will manage and promote the eP (e-Procurement) product solution for the company. Position will provide support and advocacy to the Sales team in the pursuit of new engagements and negotiation of contracts with Avotus clients. This position shall be the lead Subject Matter Expert for EP for the line of business and be involved in al EP engagements as lead SME and overall platform manager. This position rePorts directly to the Vice President, Global Service Delivery. This position will interface directly with Avotus EP clients and prospects. Ensures that the EP service is delivered, in a manner, which satisfies the SLA’s for delivery of EP and garners Customer Satisfaction. This position will lead the meeting wherein the results of an Auction event are delivered to the client. This position will be prime interface with Sales, Service Engineering and Platform partners.
Job Requirements:
» Assist sales personnel in the presentation of the EP service capabilities.
» Visit with existing and prospective customers to provide sales support and delivery results.
» Interface with Service Engineering to ensure proper maintenance of platforms.
» Communicate platform requirements, upgrade requests and system fixes identified to SE for software fixes, improvements, version revisions.
» Interface with Partners to manage partnerships and ensure compliance.
» Depending on business growth, may manage analysts, auctioneers or other EP Service Delivery personnel
» Assists team in resolving questions regarding services up for auction.
» Provides analyses of auction outcomes; prepare presentation slides; present finding to clients
» Supports post-auction relationship with Avotus Clients
Working Conditions:
» This position may require workdays exceeding 8 hours during the week as well as some work on weekends, evenings or early morning hours
» Position is based in Avotus, NJ office
Job Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, abilities, and attributes)
 
» Business Knowledge and Telecom Experience in Multiple Telecom Services highly desirable
» Knowledge of major telecom vendor processes, market dynamics, pricing and competitive situation
 » Telecommunications procurement, vendor management or analysis experience for a Fortune 500 company or Telecom Carrier
» Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
» Experience managing EP software (Ariba, Free Markets, or others)
» Demonstrable customer relationship skills
» Must have excellent communications and presentation skills
» Required skills and experience scoping telecom projects and preparing Scope so Work to create e RFP/RFI/RFQ
» Must be familiar with Broadband services i.e. IP, Local Loop, MPLS, Internet Access, dark fiber
» Must be familiar with delivery technologies such as MPLS, VoIP, SaaS,
» Experience in contract negotiation
» Highly organized, professional and comfortable working across the organization
» Ability to deliver effectively in a manner which is pleasing to customers and promotes interest in EP solutions
» Ability to multi-task simultaneous projects
   
Qualifications:
» University degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance or other relevant study.
» 7+ years of telecom expense management, e-procurement or telecom project management experience required
Performance Accountability:
» MBO’s associated with development, implementation, management and delivery of EP services.
