Position Title : Channel Sales Manager-Telecom

Location : NYC, Toronto or Western US
Department : Sales
Reports to : Head of Channel Sales


Job Summary

Responsible for the identification, on-boarding and engagement of Channel Partners with primary emphasis on selling Avotus solutions and services. Generating revenue. Ongoing interaction and collaboration with other Avotus Channel Managers in North America and coordination with the Channel Support teams at other Avotus centers.


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor Degree or similar will be considered


Skills and Experience
  • Three years of experience in Channel sales relationship development
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications industry and established contacts in the field
  • Demonstrable negotiating and closing skills
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and build/execute a channel strategy

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve Channel Partner recruitment objectives
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals
  • Proactively assess, clarify and validate partner needs on an ongoing basis
  • Channel/client communication and account strategy
  • Ensure partner compliance with partner agreements
  • Drive adoption of Company programs among assigned partners
  • Up-selling of channel current base through the channel
  • Cooperative channel lead-generation marketing campaigns
  • New business closings with Channel Partners
  • Weekly channel-reporting activities and monthly sales reports Assist channel with lead qualifications
  • Maintain an up-to-date channel contact list

Working Conditions

  • General office environment, with requirement for additional hours to meet critical deadlines.
  • Business hours to cover EST time zone
  • Periods of time spent travelling to Channel Partner office locations/Avotus Global Delivery Centers and/or regional sales meeting or as directed by management
  • Use Quick base for all sales activity (contacts, leads, tracking, pipeline, etc.)
  • Access to phone with voice mail, PC and high speed internet
